Job descriptionIn this challenging position as an Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for the development and validation of LC-MS methods in a high-quality laboratory environment. You will use a variety of sample preparation techniques to isolate target compounds from complex matrices, optimize instrument parameters to ensure proper separation and high resolution, and perform preventive maintenance on the equipment to avoid downtime.
Once your methods are fully developed, validated, and thoroughly tested, you will transfer the analyses to your colleagues who will use the technique for routine analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, optimize, and validate LC-MS methods
Perform sample preparation on complex biological matrices
Adjust and fine-tune instrument parameters for optimal performance
Maintain LC-MS equipment to prevent technical issues
Document and report results accurately and clearly
Collaborate with a team of skilled analysts
ProfileFor this challening position we are looking for a skilled Analytical Chemist who fits the following profile:
A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HLO/WO) in (Analytical) Chemistry or a related field
At least 1 year of work-experience in LC-MS method development and validation
Experience with complex matrices (such as blood or urine) is an advantage
Ability to work independently and with great attention to detail
Strong reporting and communication skills
A valid driver’s license and access to a car is a plus
Proficiency in Dutch is an advantage but not required (English is sufficient)
This job opening is at a company in Apeldoorn area (Gelderland, NL). The company only considers candidates who live within 1 hour commute and are in possession of a (long term) valid work permit (no oriëntation year visa).
