De verwachte ervaring van sollicitanten, evenals extra vaardigheden en kwalificaties die nodig zijn voor deze baan, worden hieronder opgesomd.
Responsibilities- Translates the company goals and programmed/product customer requirements into system requirements and a system design definition, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces, and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
- Focus on Monitor and ECU components in all development scopes, from Electronics to Mechanical design. Applied knowledge across technologies to judge applicability and evaluate cost/benefits to ensure the system performs as expected.
- Owns functional trade-offs with decision authority to balance functional performance to a target specification, including cost and industrialization targets.
- Understands and visualizes trade-offs to facilitate decisions with key stakeholders (e.g., using a spider chart highlighting trade-off curves across system functions).
- Supports the quote team during the business acquisition phase by ensuring feasibility of requirements or clear risk identification and quantification when a requirement is outside known capabilities.
- Maintains an overall view of the system – its functions and form – and controls the structure and its variants to prevent excessive industrial proliferation through the Product Structure Design (PSD) process.
- Responsible for full decomposition of the system into subsystems and components, and supports system integrators during functional decomposition of customer programs.
- Ensures well-defined and controlled interfaces between subsystems and functions, including the Hardware-Software Interface (HSI).
- Completes the Systems Requirements Specification (SYRS) and System Architectural Design (SYAD), including Functional Safety and Cybersecurity, consulting specialists as required.
- Supports the development team on technical aspects and provides management with a clear understanding of project scope and status.
- Interacts with customers to improve project communication and ensures V&V methods and tests are known and documented to facilitate requirements tracking.
- Approves V&V plans with a focus on platforms and customer overviews.
- Owns the system FMEA and ensures its creation and maintenance with all required stakeholders.
Education And Experience- MSc in a technical discipline; preferably Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of agile development methods.
- Analytical mindset, ability to think conceptually and deal with ambiguity, and excellent communication skills.
- Experience with safety-critical designs and cybersecurity; knowledge of product safety regulations, ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE, IATF 16949.
- Skilled in embedded software implementation, mainly in C and C++, and knowledge of structured design in embedded real-time systems and hardware/software interfacing.
- Good understanding of embedded electronics design; experience with system modeling and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is a plus.
- Experience architecting, dimensioning, and selecting RTOSes/Hypervisors for processors to safely support functions; hands-on software development experience is a plus.
- A valid work visa for The Netherlands is required.
ComplexityThe system architect function develops the right system setup for efficient series production, balancing input from international stakeholders and evolving customer needs under applicable laws and regulations. It requires analytical, directional and administrative activities, with regular shifts between different projects. The role demands forward-looking thinking, knowledge of automotive tools, regulations, and networking techniques, and proficiency in English (speaking and writing).
