Purpose
As a Planning Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of project schedules and planning processes to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills to manage a team of planning engineers and liaise with multiple stakeholders.Responsibilities
· You lead the planning team in the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).· You develop and implement planning and scheduling policies, procedures, and best practices.· You coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams to integrate schedules and ensure alignment with project objectives.· You monitor project progress, identify critical path activities, and anticipate potential delays; you develop mitigation strategies.· You prepare and present detailed project status reports, including schedule updates, variance analysis, and performance metrics to the Project Management team.· You conduct risk assessments and scenario planning to support project decision-making.· You ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.· You mentor and develop planning team members to enhance their skills and performance.Education
Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.Experience
· Extensive experience in project planning and scheduling within the oil and gas industry.· Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6 preferred).· Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.· In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.· Strategic planning and organizational capabilities.· Ability to manage complex projects and priorities effectively.· Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.· Collaborative approach with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team environment.· Ability to manage of team of planning engineers working in different locations (office, construction sites)Functional Competencies
