HardhatsAI is building the next CDE for EGI. In doing so, we help architects and engineers in finding the best products for the right application. We eliminate costly reworks and compliance frustration by embedding AI agents directly into design workflows.

We’re backed by early believers, have a proven concept, and interested customers. We only need YOU to help us prepare the MVP for launch!

Lead technical strategy, architecture, and implementation of the HardhatsAI platform
Own and optimize our BIM plugin, including LLM chat interface and product query functionality
Build and integrate AI workflows (e.g. RAG, OpenAI, embeddings, prompt engineering)
Define and manage engineering roadmap, hiring, and scaling of the dev team
Collaborate closely with the CEO/co-founder (product/business) to validate customer needs
Implement best practices for code quality, security, and scalability
4+ years experience as full-stack or backend engineer; ideally with experience in startups or product teams
Strong with: Python, .NET/C#, REST APIs, data pipelines, or cloud infra (e.g. Azure, GCP, AWS)
Bonus: experience with Autodesk Revit SDK, Dynamo, Forge API, or BIM plugin development
Experience integrating LLMs or interest in learning fast
Comfortable owning a full product and iterating fast on MVPs
Clear communicator, self-directed, and motivated by purpose and ownership
Interest and heart for construction or architecture is a plus!

Who you will be joining

You will be joining a highly skilled team. The initiator is an industry professional who worked in the Built Environment all his life at contractor side, but also at one of the largest architecture offices of The Netherlands. He has experience in Product Management, Business, and stakeholder management. A second co-founder is an ex-founder specialised in GTM, branding, and sales, who led a team of 15 in his previous company.
