Become part of the international supply chain and move the world with us!OverviewThe Vice President of Regional IT is a senior executive responsible for aligning regional business strategies with corporate/global IT capabilities. This role combines strategic partnership, operational leadership, and technology innovation to ensure best-in-class IT support for the European region. IT investments deliver measurable business value.The Vice President oversees multiple affiliate locations in the region, providing centralized governance and leadership of technology decision-making and usage. This includes direct regional oversight of affiliate technology management and collaboration with regional leaders, SaaS providers and internal stakeholders.
This role ensures that the regional IT team delivers IT services across all countries and branches and supports the execution of local needs that extend beyond the global scope, whilst fully adhering to global policies and roadmaps.
Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership & Governance: Serve as the strategic IT partner to regional business units, translating business needs into actionable IT strategies.
- Develop and manage the Technology roadmap which supports the regional objectives with alignment to the AIT overall roadmap.
- Liaise with other regional IT leaders, SaaS providers and internal stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Leads with integrity, ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Enable IT global standard processes in the respective countries related to IT for Cross-functional collaboration & process standardization, guaranteeing consistent service quality and operational efficiency.
- Represent IT in cross-functional governance bodies to align on shared goals and coordinated service delivery.
- Leverage corporate resources, standards, processes, and applications to maximize value.
- Ensure IT regional platforms are configured and managed in accordance with the required global standards.
- Drive documentation of core technology capabilities to facilitate understanding, stability, and scalability.
- Oversee regional execution of IT system services, training and change management processes across affiliate locations.
- Support IT Global Asset Lifecycle Management processes, including deployment and decommissioning of end-user devices such as laptops, support BU in local mobile phones, and other workplace technology.
- Manage and monitor the performance of affiliate technology against regional financial and operational objectives.
- Define, produce, and report on the operational performance of affiliate technology providers and supporting services.
- Participate in budget strategy sessions, including monthly reviews and capital/operating plan evaluations.
- Establish and articulate staffing needs to accomplish strategic objectives.
- Serve as a critical escalation point within the region for global services affecting regional customers.
- Represent regional needs in global solutioning and technology negotiations.
- Oversee procurement, installation, and configuration of regional SaaS applications.
- Ensure maintenance and support of regional SaaS applications and provide end-user support.
- Implement processes and protocols for regional SaaS systems, aligned with global standards.
- Collaborate with regional business stakeholders to align application solutions to achieve business needs.
- Manage relationships with regional software vendors according to governance policies.
- Ensure regional reporting needs are met in partnership with global data and reporting teams.
- Partner with the business to facilitate appropriate business continuity.
- Participate in IT resource strategy and vendor management. Ensure Regional Adherence.
- Develop and cultivate a highly engaged talent pool of technologists, according to agreed global resource strategy.
- Manage a team for the region to ensure the overall IT European strategy and support can be delivered.
- Support the Global IT organization with local leadership for Global IT resources.
Qualifications- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, including relationship management, strategy, and delivery.
- Proven track record of aligning IT with business strategy in a regional with global enterprise.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing matrix environment and complex portfolios.
- Deep understanding of applications/systems, IT governance, and service management.
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Experience in global logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing industries are desirable.
- Certifications in ITIL, Agile, or BRM (Business Relationship Management).
- Experience with digital transformation, cloud technologies, and data analytics are desirable.
