We are a purpose-driven start up, utilizing AI and Augmented Reality (AR) technology to revolutionize the field of medical imaging by transforming conventional 2D scans into cutting-edge 3D holographic representations, catering to the discerning needs of both surgeons and patients. Our software not only elevates surgical planning and educational practices but also paves the way for informed decisions and superior outcomes. With a clientele spanning hospitals, surgeons, and medical educators across Europe and beyond, Augmedit stands at the forefront of innovation in the healthcare sector.

As a purpose-driven startup navigating the intricacies of transformative technology within a regulated landscape, we offer a unique opportunity to become part of a dynamic and rapidly expanding team. Collaborating across borders, time zones, and healthcare facilities, we are dedicated to bringing innovation to fruition.

The role

We’re looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy Head of Sales and proven deal maker to become Augmedit’s first commercial hire. This is your chance to build our sales engine from the ground up, owning the entire process from first conversation to closed deal. You’ll report directly to the CEO and lead the conversion of a healthy pipeline into signed contracts, especially with neurosurgeons and other senior clinical stakeholders.

You’ll thrive if you love the energy of a startup/scale-up, enjoy rolling up your sleeves, and earn clinician trust by translating our Augmented Reality software applications into clear, compelling clinical value. You’ll dive deep into our product capabilities, mastering every feature so you can confidently position Augmedit against competitors. You’ll also represent us at medical congresses across Europe and beyond, so presence, confidence, and strong public speaking skills are a must.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will develop and execute the commercial playbook to drive adoption of Augmedit’s products and devise a strategic hiring plan for the sales team in the coming years
  • You have ownership of the complete sales cycle, from captivating demos to negotiations and contract signature
  • Identify, cultivate and nurture relationships with esteemed surgeons and key stakeholders in surgical and academic centres
  • Lead complex sales cycles with clinical, technical and legal stakeholders
  • Translate clinical requirements into engaging product dialogues that drive widespread adoption
  • Act as the face of Augmedit at prominent medical conferences and congresses
  • Work closely with the founders, Product Owner, and Customer Engagement teams to ensure seamless alignment of messaging and support

What You Bring

  • You are a proven dealmaker with a track record of winning and closing complex B2B SaaS deals, ideally in medical software, HealthTech, DigitalHealth or MedTech
  • You have 5-7 years experience of team building and people-management, with a history of developing high-performing sales teams
  • Skilled at navigating multi-stakeholder decision-making processes in a regulated environment
  • Tech-savvy communicator who learns complex software solutions fast and can clearly articulate their value and impact to surgeons and hospital decision-makers.
  • You understand that repeatable processes drive success and you have built playbooks from scratch
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and drive opportunities to signature
  • Comfortable in engaging with senior clinical stakeholders, particularly surgeons
  • Proficiency in English, any other language is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: hands-on, pragmatic, and resourceful

What Augmedit Offers

  • Competitive salary including a bonus scheme and opportunity to acquire SARs (Stock Appreciation Rights)
  • 1-year contract with the prospect of transitioning to a permanent position post the initial year
  • Flexible work hours and a hybrid work setup, with a 32–40 hour workweek and weekly in-person meetings in Amersfoort
  • Generous annual leave of 25 days (based on full-time employment) to facilitate rejuvenation and relaxation
  • Join a purpose-driven organization where your contributions directly influence patient outcomes and the future landscape of surgical practices
