For our client, we are looking for a Solution Architect for 32-40 hours a week.

In your position as Solution Architect at the company, you will manage a complex integration infrastructure solution consisting of streaming tools (Kafka-Confluent), a message bus, cloud storage, and several legacy applications. You will work with the architecture team to design the next-level integration landscape of the company and, together with a team of software developers, implement the supporting toolset.

You will assist different development teams in designing and implementing modern and scalable solutions.

At the organization, we foster a collaborative and agile way of working. In this environment, you will convince people of the best solutions and work based on agreements towards a common goal. You will learn from setbacks, accept compromises, and be eager to continuously improve.

There is work to be done every day. We have great ambitions: to improve the everyday lives of our customers and make the world a little more beautiful. We can only achieve this if we all roll up our sleeves, and we do that with pleasure. We do not get discouraged and learn by doing. This is necessary to fulfill our great ambitions: we want to become the strongest retailer in the Netherlands and beyond!

In addition, it is important that you do not sit with your head in the proverbial ‘Cloud’. You are hands-on and practical, knowing how to make your own work easier with smart automation. This leaves you time to explore new ideas and initiatives that enhance the daily lives of our customers and colleagues. You can make benefits transparent for the business and help initiate projects.

Required skills:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • At least HBO professional and/or intellectual ability; preferably a completed education in computer science or similar;
  • Hands-on development experience using cloud-native solutions on AWS (our preferred hosting environment);
  • Preferably experience in Domain Driven Design;
  • The ability to speak comfortably to a large audience and convincingly present new ways of working.

We offer:

  • A team with only the brightest colleagues where you can learn and teach;
  • A challenging IT environment with over 15 different teams, hosting more than 150 microservices and over 200 applications;
  • Travel expenses, homework allowance, Christmas bonus, bonuses, and great discounts on products;
  • The chance to make an impact on the organizational environment, with plenty of room to develop and implement your ideas.
