Legal Counsel (Dutch speaking) at Hypersolid

Hypersolid seeks a commercially minded legal professional to support operations across the EMEA and US regions. You will work closely with the Legal Director and with business teams to provide pragmatic legal guidance that enables innovation while managing risk.

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with clients, vendors, and strategic partners, especially IT-related contracts (software licensing, development agreements, hosting agreements, master service agreements).
• Advise on procurement processes and review related contracts.
• Guide compliance efforts related to privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and AI legislation (e.g., EU AI Act).
• Advise on influencer sponsorship agreements and advertising partnerships.
• Provide first-line support on employment matters, coordinating with HR and external labor law counsel.
• Advise on legal considerations in product development, joint ventures, and technology collaborations.
• Collaborate with product, HR, marketing, and partnerships teams to deliver clear, pragmatic legal guidance while managing risk.

You will have the freedom and responsibility to own legal matters and help shape compliant, sustainable growth across the business. This role requires regular in-office presence: full-time and at least twice weekly from our Alkmaar office and once per week from our Amsterdam office.

• Legally trained with a Dutch bachelor’s and master’s degree in law, and at least 3 years of experience in a law firm or international in-house role.
• Experience drafting and negotiating IT and commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and emerging AI laws (e.g., EU AI Act).
• Bonus: experience with corporate/M&A or labor law.
• Confident engaging with non-legal colleagues and able to offer clear, actionable advice.
• Proactive self-starter who takes ownership and can work independently.
• Open, social, and grounded, with a good sense of humor.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in Dutch and English (both mandatory).
