The Social Director is a crucial senior role responsible for overseeing the strategic growth and development of several accounts within the social team. You will be the most senior relationship lead, managing a portfolio of clients. Your primary goal will be to drive creativity, innovation, and performance across various client accounts, ensuring client servicing, strategy, integrated acquisition planning, and technological innovation. 

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the delivery of high-quality paid social campaigns through accurate planning and optimization. Continuously assess processes in line with platform changes and industry updates. Develop and maintain best practice guidelines to enable the team to deliver excellence from planning through to optimization, reporting, and financial reconciliation. 
  • Media Planning Excellence: Support a team of channel specialists to create innovative media plans and deliver campaigns using a wide range of tools and platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Reddit. Demonstrate full understanding of key platform capabilities and discuss opportunities independently in client meetings. Recommend the latest media solutions, testing approaches, and guide roadmaps. 
  • Client Sophistication: Drive product innovations based on client needs. Foster a test-and-learn culture, delivering on social platform diversification and transformational approaches. Cultivate senior client relationships and develop contact strategies. Lead client meetings and create documents to showcase performance and provide in-depth analysis of results. 
  • Partner Management: Ensure excellent relationships with other agency partners and with media owners, to improve the quality of work and promote knowledge sharing. 
  • New Business: Represent Social expertise in new business pitches as required. 

  • 5+ years relevant experience in digital media, ideally from an agency background, with hands-on experience in activating and planning paid social campaigns. 
  • Ability to provide consultative advice to large-budget advertisers on social campaigns, attributing value to cross-channel marketing outcomes. 
  • Strategic expertise in identifying and delivering commercial growth, including new revenue streams.  
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
