About the Opportunity
On behalf of a leading trading platform, we are seeking a hands-on and strategically minded Accounting Manager to join their Amsterdam-based team. This role is pivotal in establishing and leading local financial operations as the company expands across Europe.
The Accounting Manager will ensure full compliance with Dutch and EU financial regulations, particularly under the oversight of the AFM and DNB. This role also includes supporting HR operations in collaboration with the global People team, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with AFM/DNB regulations and manage capital adequacy reporting.
Oversee financial operations including accounting, tax, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
Support HR operations: payroll, benefits, and employment compliance.
Collaborate with global teams on regulatory, legal, and operational matters.
Candidate Profile
5+ years in accounting or finance, ideally in fintech or capital markets.
Strong knowledge of Dutch/EU financial regulations; AFM/DNB experience is a plus.
Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CFA, CIMA) preferred.
Proficient in financial systems (NetSuite a bonus) and Excel.
Familiar with payroll and HR processes in the EU/UK.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
