Citrix Engineer (Infrastructure)
As a preferred supplier to one of our biggest Financial Clients, I am seeking for a Citrix Engineer (Infrastructure) for a position in Amsterdam, Netherlands. As lead Citrix Infrastructure Engineer, you are the connector for everything related to our Citrix environments. You will work together with the Dev and Ops engineers on multiple platform versions simultaneously and ensure that our internal customers (consumers) worldwide can count on a stable, secure and fully automated workplace that is only growing.
Practical examples
- Design and implement: You are responsible for the design, installation and configuration of our Citrix infrastructure, including all related components.
- Automation is second nature to you: You develop and maintain scripts and workflows for the full automation of installations, configurations and updates on our internal VMWare-based cloud. "Infrastructure as Code" isn't a buzzword for you, it's a way of working.
- Managing the supply chain: You oversee the entire ecosystem. Your expertise isn't limited to Virtual Apps and Desktops, but extends to crucial components like NetScaler (ADC), Provisioning Services, and StoreFront.
- Solving complex problems: You delve deeply into challenging technical issues and identify the root cause. In doing so, you serve as a technical beacon for the team and the organization.
- Collaboration and knowledge sharing: You will work closely with other teams within the organization and act as a technical lead and advisor.
Key Requirements:
- In-depth Citrix knowledge: You have demonstrable, hands-on experience with recent versions of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
- Supply chain expertise: You have thorough knowledge of and experience with the components that Citrix works directly with, such as VMWare vSphere and Citrix ADC (NetScaler).
- Automation mindset: You have a strong background in automating management and installation tasks, for example with PowerShell, Ansible or similar tools.
- A 'strong support base': You are not afraid to tackle the most complex issues, because you know you can rely on a strong professional network. You know where to find the right information and support, both internally and externally.
- Pré: Business relationship with Citrix: Ideally, you already have an existing network within the Citrix organization. You know how to find the right people for escalations, technical deep dives, or roadmap discussions.
- Strong communication skills: You can clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
