Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java & PL/SQL Developer to join our team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will:


  • Design and implement efficient data processing solutions aligned with project and business goals.
  • Refactor PL/SQL scripts into Java code, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Develop and manage test automation frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects and developers, to ensure seamless integration of data services into applications.


    • Competencies

    • Language Skills: Dutch (B2+)
    • Technical Skills: Advanced Java concepts, PL/SQL
    • Experience: 8–10 years


    Essential Skills

    • Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
    • Hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot)
    • Proven experience in refactoring PL/SQL scripts into Java services
    • Strong knowledge of test automation in the Java domain
    • Experience in manual testing of PL/SQL script adjustments
    • Dutch language proficiency (B2+)
    • Strong understanding of SOAP and REST for service integration


    Desirable Skills

    • Experience with Oracle Forms
    • Familiarity with Unified Modeling Language (UML)
    • Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments
    • Ability to investigate and resolve performance issues in databases and data retrieval
    • Experience with Java 21
    • Knowledge of message exchange patterns relevant to Java and Oracle SQL stack
