Senior Operations Manager (3-6 month FTC)

Utrecht - Hybrid (3-4 days in office)

We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join on a contract basis and take the lead in driving operational efficiency and process improvement across a high-volume workforce solutions business in the Netherlands. This is a hands-on, senior-level role where you will be responsible for ensuring onboarding, compliance, contracts, systems, and workforce management processes are fit for purpose and commercially sustainable.


What you’ll do

  • Conduct a deep dive into current operational processes, contracts, and compliance frameworks.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and risks across onboarding, timesheets, approvals, and client requirements.
  • Redesign processes to create leaner, more scalable structures – including potential automation, offshoring, and streamlined client agreements.
  • Ensure all processes align with contractual obligations while reducing unnecessary administrative burden.
  • Work closely with local leadership, HR, finance, and commercial stakeholders to embed changes.
  • Provide day-to-day senior leadership for the Dutch operation, ensuring credibility and trust with local teams and clients.


About you

  • Dutch national / fluent Dutch speaker
  • Strong background in operations and process management, ideally 7+ years.
  • Experience in recruitment, staffing, or other high-volume, low-margin service industries is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to interpret and manage complex contractual frameworks.
  • Hands-on leader who thrives in environments where change and transformation are needed.
  • Recently from a corporate or large-scale environment, comfortable with systems and compliance-heavy processes.


The Offer

  • Contract role (not permanent).
  • Duration: ~3 months initial, with flexibility, aiming for completion by Feb 2026 (next FY).
  • Location: 15 mins from Utrecht City Centre
