Overview:
The Global Logistics Controlling Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across our client's global logistics network. This position focuses on enhancing logistics performance through strategic cost control, data-driven reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is instrumental in developing and implementing a global logistics controlling framework that supports efficient, scalable, and transparent logistics operations aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Cost Controlling & Optimization
- Lead the financial oversight of global logistics operations, ensuring cost transparency and alignment with business goals.
- Develop and manage logistics budgets, forecasts, and cost models across transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Identify cost drivers and implement initiatives to reduce logistics spend without compromising service levels.
2. Logistics Performance Reporting & Analytics
- Design and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to monitor logistics KPIs such as delivery performance, inventory turnover, backorders, and customer service levels.
- Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities across the supply chain.
- Present actionable insights and performance trends to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
3. Strategic Logistics Planning
- Benchmark logistics performance against industry standards and internal targets.
- Drive continuous improvement programs focused on service reliability, lead time reduction, and operational agility.
- Support strategic logistics initiatives including network optimization, SKU prioritization, and customer segmentation.
4. Cross-functional & Regional Collaboration
- Partner with supply chain, procurement, production, and finance teams to ensure integrated logistics planning and execution.
- Collaborate with regional logistics managers to implement global standards and share best practices.
- Facilitate alignment between business units and IT for tool development and system integration.
5. Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify operational risks within logistics processes and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, trade regulations, and sustainability goals.
6. Systems Implementation & Tool Development
- Lead the implementation and enhancement of logistics reporting tools and dashboards.
- Define and support the development of automated reports covering customer orders, purchase orders, inventory levels, delivery performance, and logistics cost analysis.
- Coordinate with IT and business units to ensure effective tool setup and data integrity.
- Support the rollout and assessment of SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) tools and processes.
