The position:

Tacx is part of Garmin and is a consumer-minded organization where R&D, Engineering, Production, Assembly, and Distribution of indoor cycling trainers is being realized. From Design to creation and from incoming goods to shipping, all is done under one roof in Oegstgeest.


As a Material Planner you will play an active role in managing Inventory and System processes and adjustments at our assembly and production location. This means that from receiving to shipping you are responsible for all ERP and database-related set-ups and adjustments.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory management and to improve efficiency in manufacturing and assembly systems. All while maintaining a strong focus on process improvement and operational excellence.


In this role, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth integration of engineering changes with inventory and production strategies. This includes translating engineering bills of materials into ERP and acting as a bridge between engineering and operations to confirm that all changes align with inventory and production processes.


Your team

Within this position, you will be working directly with our planning team. You act as a bridge between operational teams such as Engineering, warehouse, logistics, purchasing, quality, and assembly.


That are your main tasks and responsibilities?

  • System administration: You will set up, monitor, and optimize the ERP system (Oracle) to administratively support all inventory processes such as setting up accurate takt times and providing article set-ups.
  • Engineering Change Orders: You act as the bridge between engineering and the factory, ensuring changes align with inventory and production strategies. You will review and execute inventory actions, collaborate with teams to plan stock, and ensure timely and accurate implementation through strict planning and daily monitoring.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration: You act as a bridge between operational teams, various departments, and management to ensure inventory processes meet operational and strategic business goals.
  • Review material fulfillment effectiveness.
  • Review future implementation date and purchase selects.
  • Material Review board.
  • New Product Introductions.
  • Continues improvement projects.


What do we expect from you?

  • You hold a Bachelor's (HBO) or Vocational (MBO) Degree in business studies, logistics, supply chain or operations management.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and written skills in English and preferably Dutch.
  • You are good in analyzing data, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support operations & planning.
  • Basic understanding of ERP and MRP systems within the warehouse, manufacturing, receiving, distribution, and service processes.
  • You are genuinely curious and constantly striving to learn.
  • As a person you are proactive, critical thinking, flexible, detail-oriented, and have a problem-solving focus.
  • It is seen as a plus if you share your passion for cycling and sports.
