Full stack engineer
Role overview
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Merqato, you will lead the end to end design, delivery, and operation of software systems that power our prediction engine and front facing applications. You will continue to develop and enhance the existing architecture, and design / create the upcoming software projects.
Key responsibilities
- Own frontend backend systems end to end: Design, implement, evaluate, deploy, and operate frontend and backend services.
- Technical leadership: Set Software and Architecture best practices.
- Software at scale: Build robust data connections, data providers and front facing data applications.
- Analytics for product impact: Instrument product analytics and define success metrics to guide roadmap decisions and quantify business value.
- Architecture and infra: Design future‑proof, cloud‑native software architectures on Azure that enable fast iteration and safe deployments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product, ML engineering, and customers to translate business goals into measurable software outcomes.
- Technology radar: Stay current with the Software ecosystem and introduce the right tools and approaches to maximise impact, not hype.
Qualifications
- Deep Azure experience: Proven track record building and deploying solutions on Azure.
- Full stack experience: Proven record building end to end, connecting backend to frontend applications.
- Software engineering excellence: Strong software engineering fundamentals, testing, and CI/CD for Software. Comfortable owning services in production.
- Product mindset and communication: You align Software work with outcomes, communicate trade‑offs crisply, and thrive in cross‑functional settings.
- Startup experience: Meaningful experience in early‑stage environments, self starter with bias to action and pragmatic delivery.
Preferred tech stack
- Languages: C# (.NET), Typescript ( Next.js), Python.
- Data and processing: SQL ( Postgresql ), Pandas, optional experience with ETL tools.
- Cloud: Azure (Azure ML, Data factory, Data Lake, Event Hub, Functions, App service, Container instance, Virtual networks)
- DevEx: Git, CI/CD (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps), Docker
