Legal counsel

EMEA Recruitment is partnering exclusively with a growing, international not-for-profit in its search for a Legal Counsel.

The role centers on contract management, working with a broad network of stakeholders across various industries and clients. Beyond contracts, the Legal Counsel will also advise on privacy and GDPR, sanctions regulations, and litigation matters.

A great opportunity for a Lawyer eager to move from private practice into a dynamic in-house environment, or for in-house Counsel ready to take on a wider corporate remit with real commercial impact.

Key responsibilities of the Legal Counsel:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, customers, and strategic partners
• Advise on compliance with privacy (GDPR), sanctions, and relevant regulatory frameworks
• Manage contract lifecycle processes, ensuring obligations and risks are tracked and addressed
• Support dispute resolution and litigation matters, coordinating with external Counsel where required
• Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders on commercial, regulatory, and contractual issues

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Law; admitted as a qualified Lawyer (Advocaat or equivalent)
• 8 years of PQE in Contract Law, Corporate/Commercial Law, or similar
• Strong background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating international commercial agreements
• Experience working with suppliers, customers, and/or logistics/pharma/IT industries is a plus
• Solid understanding of compliance topics, such as GDPR, sanctions, and corporate governance
