About the Internship

We are offering a challenging and impactful Project Assignment Internship within our Operational Engineering team. This internship is ideal for a student who needs to complete a practical or graduation project and is eager to work on real-life engineering challenges in a high-tech, regulated environment. The specific assignment will be defined together, based on your interests and academic requirements, and aligned with current business needs.

Potential Project Topics (to be finalized together):

  • Process improvement in manufacturing or assembly lines
  • Equipment efficiency (OEE) and downtime analysis
  • Lean implementation or value stream mapping
  • Data collection and analysis for root cause investigations
  • Support for new product introduction (NPI) from an operations perspective
  • Digitalization or automation of manual processes
  • Ergonomics or safety improvements on the shop floor
  • What You’ll Do

  • Lead or support a defined engineering or operations-related project
  • Work closely with operators, engineers, and production supervisors
  • Gather, analyze, and present data to drive improvements
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Present progress updates and final results to stakeholders
  • Document findings and provide actionable recommendations
  • Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Analytical thinker with a hands-on mindset
  • Strong interest in production environments, process optimization, and continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working with data (Excel, Power BI, Minitab, etc.); knowledge of lean tools is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in English (Dutch or other languages are a plus)
  • Proactive, independent, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Internship must be part of an academic curriculum (graduation assignment or practical project)
