Senior Software Developer / Software Developer (at the rank of IT Officer / IT Technician) for Student Information Systems Team in the Information Technology Services (Ref.: 533233)
We are seeking a high caliber IT talent to join us to provide top-notch IT services for our Student Information Systems Team.
The Role
The appointee will be responsible for:
Developing web and mobile applications;
Conducting user requirement analysis and higher education student analytics;
Providing support and maintaining quality IT services for student information management and related business processes of the University; and
Liaising with the administrative offices and department users in the University. Qualifications and Qualities
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology or a related field;
A good command of written and spoken English; and
Good communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of and relevant experience in SOME of the following areas are required:
Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies, including Power Apps (Model-Driven and Canvas), Power BI, Power Automate, Power Pages, Azure, Dataverse, C#, Microsoft 365, Teams and SharePoint
Web-based application development (Java Servlet, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, React JS, Spring Boot, Python and Oracle PL/SQL)
Databases (Oracle and MySQL)
Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Application Designer, Application Engine and BI Publisher
Native/hybrid mobile app development (Framework 7, Vue.js, Cordova, Objective C, Swift, React Native, etc.)
DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git and GitHub)
Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, ChatGPT, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), data mining and data visualization Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Software Developer. High caliber fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years and commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
