The Account Director is responsible for managing and leading the strategy for high-profile global accounts. This role works closely with the Client Service Director to ensure that the vision for client relationships aligns with both agency capabilities and client objectives. The Account Director drives the development of global campaigns and ensures alignment between client goals and internal teams. While focusing on long-term growth, the role also requires innovation, creativity, and efficient collaboration across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities:Global Account Leadership & Strategic Oversight- Lead and contribute to the strategic direction of high-profile global client accounts (e.g., Oreo), ensuring alignment with the broader objectives defined by the Client Service Director;
- Collaborate with client leadership to ensure global marketing strategies are consistent with business objectives, while overseeing the integration and execution of these strategies across multiple markets;
- Develop and execute innovative global campaigns, balancing creativity with practicality, and ensuring that campaigns are delivered on time and to the highest standards, in line with both agency and client goals.
Client Relationship Management & Strategic Growth- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, serving as a key point of contact for strategic discussions, while ensuring alignment with the Client Service Director’s broader client relationship strategy;
- Identify and cultivate new opportunities for collaboration and growth, contributing to strategic initiatives that drive long-term business impact;
- Provide proactive strategic counsel to clients, identifying opportunities, developing tailored solutions, and staying ahead of emerging trends to drive long-term value for the client;
- Work to ensure client satisfaction, responding to client challenges with agility and proactive problem-solving.
Global Account Strategy & Innovation- Play a key role in the development of global marketing strategies that align with the agency’s capabilities and the client’s objectives. Work under the guidance of the Client Service Director to ensure execution matches strategic goals;
- Ensure campaigns leverage the latest digital marketing trends, technologies, and innovative strategies to stay ahead of industry shifts;
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify growth opportunities, contributing to agency growth and the expansion of key client accounts.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration- Lead account management teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team, across functions, and with external stakeholders;
- Work closely with the Client Service Director to ensure smooth integration between internal teams and client-facing roles, prioritizing operational efficiency and client satisfaction;
- Oversee the seamless delivery of global campaigns, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and with the highest quality.
New Business Development & Agency Growth- Contribute to the creation of new business pitches and proposals to grow key client accounts, aligning these efforts with the broader goals and vision set by the Client Service Director.
Qualifications
- Organized: you’ll be totally on the ball, someone who gets things done and seamlessly tracks it all for others to find;
- Creative: you know good creative when you see it - from brand development through to campaign executions - you have sound and robust judgement backed up with experience and a clear rationale;
- Relationship builder: tenacious by nature, you’ll seamlessly forge robust relationships with internal teams, network agency partners and mid-level clients;
- Strategic: you’ll be able to confidently present brand strategies, recommend strategic choices and able to judge work as strategically on / off;
- Knowledgeable: you’ll feel totally confident dealing with the the complexities of working with different creative disciplines, and are not afraid to ask for help when needed;
- Ownership: you will be trusted, considered, friendly and accountable;
- Team player: you are happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in to ensure you deliver;
- 5 years+ experience working on (global) clients;
- Master English language, proficiency in other languages is a positive.

This role will be based in Amsterdam. You are required to work from the LePub office at least 3 days a week.
