As Financial Controller you work closely together with your colleagues from Financial Control and Business Control. The key responsibility will be to secure timely and accurate reporting of the legal entities, both to Corporate as well as in compliance with local requirements. You contribute to improve processes and drive improvements within the organization.

In your daily tasks, you will:

  • Be responsible for timely, complete and accurate month end close process
  • Perform month end close activities in line with IFRS and Marel accounting guidelines and implement new accounting and reporting requirements into systems and processes
  • Secure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines as well as local laws and legislation and VAT
  • Prepare and adjust finance journal entries, such as accruals, deferrals, reclass and interdepartmental entries in the company’s accounting ledger
  • Perform account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are correct
  • Reconciliate monthly general ledger, to ensure that all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations

  • A Bachelor Degree in Business Economics and/or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant working experience in a project driven company
  • Analytical, communication skills,
  • Advanced ERP knowledge, knows how to turn data into management information
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English (Spoken and written)
  • Excellent skills in MS-Office, especially Excel
  • Hands-on mentality, dynamic, enthusiastic & solution-oriented
