The Freight Sourcing and Procurement Lead Specialist is the crucial position between our customers and operations to make sure we run a profitable organization with quality vendors against the right price. By running an effective Procurement coordinator role, we are in control of our vendor spent and maximizing our margins, have minimized the risk with solidly formulated vendor quotations, or contracts and SLA´s in place on all our major vendors and are we able to send a quick and quality respond on quotes from existing and new customers for any freight costs purchased in our area Benelux, France, Spain, Purtugal, Switzerland and Italy.
Aside the procurement part the role has product components, which include development, update of forwarding products, collecting and sharing market information for freight forwarding products (ocean, land, air) out of country perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
Further set-out and support role out of our global and EMEA vendor strategyProcuring, maintaining relationships, auditing, contractual agreements and supporting in operational disputesPerforming vendor managementProviding and maintaining database for negotiation ratesDetermining local Sell rate in line with market and our strategySupporting in translating buy into sellProviding instructions to Operations about the buy rates & sell rates & service provider & service details where a rate inquiry results in award of businessSupporting operations or create FOB Quotes for operationsResponding and providing input for tender from KAM, Sales, IFS and other key stakeholdersCreating and maintaining customer tariffs for our regular customersSupporting on Inside Sales activitiesCollecting market information, supporting IFS with country related market information for commercial / client updatesAny ad-hoc task if requiredQualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience in the logistics industry, preferably as an operator or in product /procurementExperience as procurement coordinator or manager in the logistics is a big plusEffective communication, orally and in writingStrong trouble shooterHands on mentalityStrong relationship builderGood skills of Office tools (Excel)Ability to manage daily tasks and prioritize activitiesAbility to deal with the interests of the customers and the interests of APLLFluency in Dutch and EnglishWe offer you:
