Job Title: Software/Application Engineer
Project Overview:
A leading European technology company is developing a next-generation hybrid navigation dashboard for a major automotive group. The system will combine onboard and online search functionalities, integrating proprietary navigation technology with Google-based search APIs. The project is currently in its high-level design phase, with a tight delivery timeline and a strong focus on implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop embedded software in Kotlin for automotive navigation systems.Integrate Google Places API into a hybrid navigation architecture.Collaborate closely with UX designers using Figma and AI tooling such as Junie.Implement logic for switching between onboard and online search within the UI layer.Ensure secure authentication and access management across systems.Optimize performance for embedded automotive processors.Support multi-language search capabilities and asynchronous connectivity.Work on-site in Eindhoven to ensure close collaboration with the internal engineering team.Required Skills & Experience:
Strong experience in Kotlin for embedded systems.Background in automotive or navigation software development.Hands-on experience with Google APIs, especially Places API.Familiarity with security protocols, IAM, and hybrid connectivity.Experience with Figma for UX collaboration.Understanding of multi-language support and performance optimization in embedded environments.Experience with repository-layer architecture and UI logic integration.Nice-to-Have:
