About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our client’s Medical Affairs team in the Netherlands. This is a full-time, field-based contract role (6 months) where you will act as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals (HCPs), thought leaders (TLs), and other key stakeholders. The MSL will be responsible for providing up-to-date scientific and clinical information, engaging with the cystic fibrosis medical community, and supporting the execution of the broader Medical Affairs strategy. This role covers both Netherlands and Belgium.


Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), HCPs, and scientific leaders in the cystic fibrosis field.
  • Deliver high-quality, compliant scientific and clinical information to stakeholders.
  • Support disease awareness and enhance understanding of treatment options.
  • Gather and communicate field-based insights to inform medical strategy and planning.
  • Provide support to clinical trials by assisting with site identification, investigator engagement, and end-of-study data reviews.
  • Represent the company at scientific congresses, medical meetings, and advisory boards, providing coverage, insights, and debriefs.
  • Mentor or support less experienced colleagues, where appropriate.
  • Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.


Qualifications:

  • Advanced biomedical or life sciences degree (e.g. MSc, NP, PA); PhD, MD, or PharmD preferred.
  • Previous experience as an MSL or in a Medical Affairs role within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cystic fibrosis or relevant therapeutic areas preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific information effectively.
  • Good understanding of the healthcare environment and payer landscape in the Netherlands.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Dutch and English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Netherlands (up to 70%).
  • Valid driver’s license.
