Welcome to Tap Electric. Tap is an e-mobility startup based in the heart of Amsterdam, connecting drivers to chargers for seamless car charging. Our mission is to deliver brilliant driver experience at the intersection of grid and mobility.


We’re looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to lead us into our next stage of growth. Your mission? Help us 10x our business (again) by getting more drivers charging with us. You'll own the full marketing engine, from identifying the most impactful growth opportunities to launching and measuring the experiments that will get us there.


What you’ll be doing


  • You’ll define and execute your growth strategy – from customer proposition, localised marketing across the full customer lifecycle and managing the marketing tech stack that supports your plans.
  • You’ll be launching experiments to test your hypotheses on how we can grow faster. Whether it’s a new channel, partner or growth tactic, you’ll track and measure the results. We believe in learning from failure and moving quickly. 
  • Use tools like Amplitude, Google Analytics, Adjust and Ahrefs to uncover insights and fuel your hypotheses. You'll be the champion of data-informed decisions, sharing key findings with the wider team to rally everyone around our goals.
  • You'll find ways to automate our go-to-market efforts, creating a scalable, repeatable growth engine. You'll have the autonomy to decide on the right mix of SEO, paid marketing, email, and social media, earned media, referrals etc to acquire and retain drivers.
  • You’ll be a key voice in shaping the product roadmap. You’ll uncover insights from customer interviews, behaviour and competitor research that not only drive new user acquisition but also improve in-app engagement and retention. You'll work closely with the product team to ensure we're building the right features to unlock sustainable, long-term growth.


About you


  • You’re a gutsy strategist. You define, prioritise, and execute your growth strategy in line with CPA and LTV payback windows.
  • You’re a confident full-stack marketer. You have a solid foundation in marketing fundamentals—from customer insights and messaging to channels and product—and you know how to apply these effectively in your day-to-day work.
  • You dive into the data. You’ve set up tracking and analytics platforms to steer your decisions and prove the value of your work.
  • You are excited about new technology. You're constantly monitoring tools and innovations (AI!) in the space to gain an edge.
  • You’re hands on. You move between high-level strategy and hands-on execution. You've worked across multiple marketing channels and understand how they can work together to drive growth.
  • You’ve got a proven track record. You’re experienced in scaling marketing operations and hitting ambitious business targets, ideally in a fast paced environment.


Nice to haves


  • You’ve got some technical chops. You're comfortable with the technical side of marketing, including writing your own SQL queries, tracking, and automation.
  • Experience in startups. You know how to make a big impact with lean budgets and limited resources.

A bit more about Tap


Tap was founded in late 2020 by two charging software veterans, Nico and Dan, who saw that the charging UX for EV drivers was broken. They bootstrapped their way to building 2 key products: a driver app that enables really simple payments on a huge network of chargers; and a platform for charger owners and installers to manage their chargers and collect payments. Tap is live in the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and the UK with tens of thousands of satisfied users (our 4+ App store ratings prove it).
