Key Responsibilities:
- To work on new product development (product concept design and able to design product, prototype making, design verification)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, industrial design, regulatory, and manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation.
- To coordinate with other engineers (internal and external) and make sure the design can be well realized during production.
- To coordinate technical discussion with third-party suppliers, and to assist with supply chain selection and production process development.
- Responsible for Design For Manufacturing (DFM) activities, ensure part design can be produced, review tool drawings, perform Mold flow analysis, etc.
- Perform design calculations, FEM, material selection, and tolerance analysis to ensure product performance.
- Support design verification and validation activities, including test planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and other relevant medical device standards.
- Analysis of potential patent infringement during design phase.
- To participate in design transfer and manufacturing for launching the products.
- To participate in technical investigations of complaint devices to drive product improvements from a mechanical perspective.
- To participate in risk management activities.
Job Requirements:
- University degree (bachelor or master) in mechanical engineering or equivalent degree
- >5 years working experience in mechanical design engineering, in complex mechanical products that require a high degree of precision and robust performance. Some experience in MedTech is preferred but not mandatory.
- Advanced skills in SolidWorks and/or other CAD modeling software.
- Strong experience in the back end of product development process, working with injection molding and assembly suppliers.
- Proficient in English
