A Day in the Life

Within this role you ensure smooth workshop processing. You are accountable for achieving daily operational goals. You ensure (among others) teamwork, good collaboration, inclusion and diversity. You are responsible for planning, prioritizing, and/or directing the responsibilities of direct reports. From a people management perspective, you are responsible for mentoring, coaching and developing talent. Next to people management, you focus on process improvement. You turn data into actions, to meet performance expectations and/or defined objectives.

In summary a versatile role, within a flourishing department where you will report to the Senior Distribution Manager. You are expected to work on-site a minimum of 4 days per week.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Managing performance, developing talent, engagement and inclusion, communicating business and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of direct reports
  • Supervisory of professionals focused on tactical, operational and some strategic activities within scope
  • Managing people: Accountability for mentoring, developing and coaching staff on meeting/exceeding performance expectations and defined objectives, providing leadership to staff ensuring the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives to include defining performance goals and targets, conducting performance reviews, staff 1:1s to guide performance management, employee development efforts and manage toward departmental goals
  • Analyzes and evaluates existing processes to assess their effectiveness and usage. Proactively informs the Manager of any critical or structural issues, and collaborates to define action plans for resolution. Collects and analyzes data to identify root causes of problems. Plans, leads, and implements process improvement initiatives—such as Lean or Six Sigma—in cooperation with relevant teams
  • Monitoring and maintenance of Control Mechanisms (i.e. KPI`s) on both process performance as well quality
  • Adhere to household rules, the Code of Conduct, and EHS procedures to ensure optimal working conditions. Consistently perform all activities in compliance with work instructions and quality procedures. Demonstrate a collaborative attitude and actively contribute to a positive, 'great place to work' environment
  • Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • (Technical) Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant experience
  • Fluent in English language in word and writing
  • Must have a strong grasp of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience (Green Belt certified or trained)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible, Dedicated and Determined
