At dsm-firmenich Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH), we’re preparing for something big: the carve-out of ANH towards a new ownership structure. Ownership details are still being finalized, but one thing’s clear — this is a rare chance to help shape a future-ready business from the inside out.
We’re looking for a finance leader to take the reins of our Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) function. You’ll step into a multinational team that’s already in motion, and lead its evolution — growing capabilities, strengthening governance, and building a structure that can scale with ambition.
Your key responsibilities

Nederland is DSM’s bakermat, waar de onderneming in 1902 werd opgericht. In Nederland werken bij DSM ca. 1800 mensen in R&D, op productielocaties en kantoren in Delft, Heerlen, Geleen, Venlo, Leeuwarden, Amsterdam, Stroe en Wageningen.
DSM is een bedrijf met een rijke geschiedenis, innovatief heden en dynamische toekomst in Nederland. Met meer dan een eeuw aan succesvolle transformaties ontwikkelde DSM zich van de exploitatie van steenkolen vanaf 1902 via bulkchemie, fijnchemie, hoogwaardige materialen en voeding naar een bedrijf in voeding, gezondheid en biowetenschappen in 2022.
Veel innovaties van DSM die wereldwijd worden gebruikt zijn in Nederland bedacht. Bijvoorbeeld: enzymen voor glutenvrij bier (Brewersclarex®), lactase voor lactosevrije melk, yoghurt, kwark en andere zuivelproducten (Maxilact®), natamycine, een biologisch conserveermiddel op bijvoorbeeld kaascoatings (Delvo®Cid), vegetarisch stremsel voor de productie van kaas (Fromase®), gefermenteerde zoetstof zonder calorieën (EVERSWEET™), duurzame, hoogwaardige plantaardige eiwitten van raapzaad (CanolaPRO®).
DSM is een belangrijke steunpilaar voor Nederlandse innovatiekracht, dankzij het sterke R&D-netwerk, en de aanjagende rol van belangrijke kennisecosystemen in Nederland, zoals de Biotech Campus Delft en door participatie in Foodvalley Wageningen. DSM is initiator van de Biotech Campus Delft (BCD) en founding father van PlanetB.io. Dit kennisecosysteem werkt met fermentatie en geeft start-ups en scale-ups de mogelijkheid om (snel) te groeien. Kenmerkend is dat het doel van al deze kleinere en grotere bedrijven hetzelfde is als dat van DSM, namelijk alternatieve en gezonde eiwitten en andere (voedings)producten op een veel duurzamere manier produceren. BCD in Delft biedt werkgelegenheid aan zo’n 400 mensen. DSM investeert miljoenen euro’s in de ontwikkeling van de biotech campus in Delft. DSM is een van de investeerders in de recente investeringsronde van €47 miljoen in Meatable, een start-up in gecultiveerd vlees die is gehuisvest op PlanetB.io. Daarnaast werken DSM en Meatable sinds vorig jaar intensief samen om gecultiveerd vlees betaalbaar en toegankelijk te maken. In het hart van Foodvalley op Wageningen Campus doet DSM onderzoek naar zuivelculturen en toepassingen.
Het hoofdkantoor van DSM is gevestigd in Heerlen. DSM is voornemens een nieuw, duurzaam, modern en inspirerend hoofdkantoor te bouwen in Maastricht. Eind 2023 moet de bouw gereed zijn.
Maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheid
In Nederland is DSM al decennialang maatschappelijk actief. We maken dit meetbaar door middel van onze foodsystem commitments. De commitments ‘Health for People’, ‘Health for Planet’, Healthy Livelihoods’ vormen kern van onze business. Wij versnellen onze doelstelling voor minder broeikasuitstoot tot 59% in 2030.
