Your Opportunity: Performance Excellence Finance Analyst:

We’re looking for a motivated, analytical, and entrepreneurial PX Finance Analyst to join our collaborative and high-energy team. The Performance Excellence Group supports portfolio companies by implementing improvement programs, helping them implement standards (standard financial & KPI reporting) and identifying, capturing and sharing best practices through handbooks. What you’ll bring:

  • An academic education relevant to the position (Accounting, Controlling, Finance).
  • 1–2 years of experience in financial management, (business) controlling, financial and KPI reporting and/or consultancy (e.g. due diligence practice). Starters with relevant internships are also invited to apply.
  • Knowledge and experience with financial administration, consolidation and reporting, operational systems, management reports, financial models, and excellent excel skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with relevant (BI) tooling and database management is a plus.
  • Experience with project management/project-based work and with business models of software/ IT companies is an advantage.
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid grasp of financial and operational data to create the right insights
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize in a changing and challenging work environment.
  • Strong social and communication skills and integrity, allowing you to communicate well with the PX team, deal teams of Main, and management teams of the portfolio companies.
  • You have an excellent command of English and Dutch in word and writing.


What you’ll do

The Performance Excellence Finance Analyst, in collaboration with the PX team and deal teams of Main, will support our portfolio companies with financial and operational matters, and implementing improvement projects. Financial knowledge, analytical skills, hands-on mentality and good communication skills are required. The work will be performed partly at our office in The Hague and partly on location at our portfolio companies.


The tasks include:

  • Implement existing financial and non-financial reporting templates.
  • Further develop standardized reports and processes in order to realize more impact in a scalable way by applying BI tooling and database management. You will work with data & dashboarding experts within Main.
  • Analyze data from our portfolio in order to launch and realize improvement initiatives at portfolio companies.
  • Hands-on guidance of portfolio companies in implementing improvements to the financial and operational organization.
