If you're a recent graduate with a passion for technology, problem-solving, and hands-on work with world-class instrumentation, this is your opportunity to become a Graduate Field Service Engineer supporting advanced mechanical testing and optical profiling tools across the BENELUX and Nordics.

Established in the early 2000s, this privately owned company specialises in supplying a portfolio of surface characterisation equipment and instrumentation to materials sciences, life sciences, semiconductor and research applications industries across the Benelux and Scandinavian regions. Their portfolio includes Atomic Force Microscopes, Optical profilers, MicroCT, Thin-film measurements, Mechanical testing equipment (indentation, scratch and tribology), Surface analysis equipment (XPS, auger, SIMS) and Active vibration isolation systems.

The position

Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a graduate who is looking to take their first step into Service Engineering to join their existing service team of 4.

Role and responsibilities

• The installation and commissioning of mechanical testing and characterisation instruments at customer sites across the BENELUX & Nordics territories (Fluent Dutch and English required)
• Training of customers in the operation & use of instruments
• Carrying out routine preventative maintenance visits
• Responding to emergency service call-outs and repairs
• Fault diagnosis and resolution using both mechanical, electrical and software fault-finding skills.
• Providing full written reports on activities

Travel

This person will be travelling around 60% of the time, both nationally and internationally across the BENELUX region – we are looking for someone who has the freedom to travel and enjoys being customer-facing. All travel is arranged during the working week (Monday-Friday).
