Description of the position as Credit Risk Monitoring Specialist
Overall, a Credit Risk Monitoring Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring:
- the financial stability and soundness of the organization by effectively managing and overseeing the calculation and reporting of credit risk provisions (Retail & Wholesale) in accordance with IFRS9.
- valuable insights and information to report operational performance
TASKS
Cost of risk:
- Monitoring and analyzing credit risk exposures and assessing the adequacy of provisions based on expected credit losses.
- Providing regular reports and presentations to Senior Management and our Paris Headquarters on the credit risk profile of the organization and the adequacy of provisions
- Participating in internal and external audits to ensure proper documentation and disclosure of credit risk provisions in financial statements
- Developing, implementing and adjusting Policies and Procedures by keeping abreast of changes in accounting standards ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices
Indicators & reporting:
- Developing and maintaining a set of key performance indicators in line with the Operations department objectives and goals by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data from various sources
- Up-dating accuracy and consistency reports / dashboards to visualize and communicate performance metrics
Committees:
- Preparing support presentations for the local Operations/Customer Care/Retail risk committee (quarterly). Presenting slides to Senior Management
- Preparing support presentation for the HQ Retail Committee (half-yearly). Presenting the slides to HQ risk dept.
We are looking for a person, who:
- Can work independently and problem-solve
- Is meticulous and accurate
- Is flexible and proactive
- Is curious by nature, and always willing to learn and improve
- Able to work collaboratively with many stakeholders internally and externally
- Must have excellent excel skills
- Has experience with Alteryx
- Has correct communication skills
- Has a good command of the MS Office package
- Must be able to communicate in business English, Dutch and French are a major plus
- Able to work full time - 40 hours per week
- Must have excellent power point skills to create slide decks
- Must be able to analyze raw data and tell a story
- Strong speaking and presentation skills are a must as you will present to HQ on a monthly basis and at risk committee meetings with Directors and other stakeholders.
Desired education and (work) experience:
- Has minimum of 5 years experience
- Business Control / Risk experience
