Octagon Professionals is seeking to recruit a number of HR Data and Process Analytics professionals to support the European Space Agency (ESA) at various locations across Europe for different services.

Key Responsibilities:

Collecting business requirements/mapping ESA processes and preparing documentation, including:

  • Collecting and analysing business requirements related to both process digitalisation and dashboarding needs.
  • Document detailed process/reporting requirements, including process flows, data sourcesKPIs and visualisation preferences.
  • Document the as-is process using standard methodologies IDEFO), perform analysis on issues/gap with respect to expected behaviour (value stream map etc).
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment with organisational reporting standards and guidelines.
  • Data analysis, reporting and dashboard design and implementation, including:

  • Contribute to the definition of the data and report architecture as per internal process (including master data maintenance).
  • Build requested reports according to specified requirements, including data access rules
  • Design user-friendly and visually appealing reports and dashboards tailored to financial performance metrics.
  • Provide support for the deployed reports and dashboards, including updates and enhancements based on evolving business needs.
  • Propose and implement effective visual representations of data, ensuring clarity and accuracy in reporting.
  • Testing and data validation, including:

  • Perform rigorous testing to validate the accuracy of the report’s dashboards data models.
  • Troubleshoot and report to Business Responsible any data-related issues.
  • Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline;
  • 3+ years of relevant experience;
  • Advanced skills in data analysis tools, dashboard design and programming;
  • Proficient in process mapping, data modeling, testing and trouble shooting;
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (mandatory);
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite, Adobe Acrobat, and collaboration tools like SharePoint, Slack, and MS Teams;
  • Good understanding of data governance and KPI frameworks;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Familiarity with ESA organisational structures is a plus;
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills and full professional fluency in English (written and spoken);
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
