We are currently supporting a pioneering radiopharmaceutical company in their search for a Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist to join their expanding team in the Netherlands. Role Description

Our client is building a world-class pipeline of radiotracers and is looking for a scientifically curious and hands-on researcher to help drive preclinical development. The successful candidate will play a key role in radiotracer design, radiolabeling, and preclinical evaluation, with direct impact on translational strategy and early clinical decision-making.

Role Overview

/       Radiochemistry & Tracer Development: Design, radiolabel, and optimize novel radiotracers to support discovery and translational research.

/       In Vitro Pharmacology: Conduct binding assays, internalization studies, and affinity measurements to support candidate selection.

/       In Vivo Biology: Plan and execute biodistribution and efficacy studies in animal models to inform go/no-go decisions.

/       Data Interpretation & Communication: Translate complex data into actionable insights for clinical development.

/       Scientific Leadership: Collaborate across disciplines (radiochemistry, biology, and pharmacology) and mentor junior scientists within project teams.

/       Innovation & Problem-Solving: Apply cutting-edge methodologies to overcome technical challenges and accelerate discovery.


Ideal Candidate Profile:


Qualifications

/       PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or related field.

/       Postdoctoral or 3–5 years of industry experience in radiopharma, oncology drug discovery, or nuclear medicine preferred.

/       Exceptional PhD graduates with relevant expertise will also be considered.

 

Technical Expertise

/       Strong background in radiolabeling of small molecules, peptides, or antibodies.

/       Experience with in vitro pharmacological assays and in vivo preclinical models.

/       Familiarity with PET/SPECT imaging technologies is a plus.

/       Understanding of drug discovery workflows and translational research.

/       Knowledge of regulatory standards (GLP, animal ethics) is advantageous.
