How a day can look like:
A day as an M&E Trainee typically starts with checking the event schedule, reviewing any client communications, and preparing for team meetings. You’ll often join morning discussions to share updates on ongoing events, flag any challenges, and suggest improvements. Throughout the day, you might help organize upcoming meetings or events, prepare agendas, and take detailed minutes to track action items.
In between, you’ll follow up with clients to maintain relationships, assist with invoicing, or conduct post-event evaluations to ensure satisfaction. You’ll collaborate with departments like banqueting and front desk to keep everything running smoothly, while also keeping an eye on industry trends and contributing creative ideas during brainstorming sessions. The day often wraps up with analysing feedback from recent events and ensuring all follow-ups are in place for a seamless client experience.

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing various meetings and events.
  • Help maintain relationships with clients and following up in current business.
  • Attend regular team meetings to discuss ongoing and upcoming events, providing updates on current business and any challenges encountered.
  • Contribute suggestions based on your observations and interactions with clients to enhance event planning processes.
  • Assist with invoicing and post-event evaluations to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including banqueting and front desk to guarantee successful event execution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event management.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative ideas for events and promotions.
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze event feedback, helping to identify areas for improvement in service delivery.
  • Assist in the preparation of meeting agendas and take detailed minutes, ensuring all action items are documented and followed up on in a timely manner.

    What we need from you:
    ·       The internship needs to be a part of your school programme
    ·        Speaks and writes fluently in Dutch and English
    ·        Positive and can-do attitude
    ·        Good communication skills
    ·        Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Opera is a plus
    ·        Well-groomed appearance
