DUTY MANAGER
As our Duty Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Leiden, you’ll be at the heart of the hotel’s daily operations. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you’ll support various departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance. You’ll be the go-to person on shift, ensuring a smooth guest experience and supporting your team with energy, professionalism, and a genuine love for service.
You’ll be a natural host — warm, approachable, and full of local insights to share with our guests. Whether it’s greeting a family at check-in, assisting a business guest in the lobby, or supporting the breakfast team during a busy morning, you’ll always lead by example.
What your day might look like:
· Supporting the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences throughout the hotel
· Assisting the Front Office team with check-in, check-out, and lobby hosting
· Helping the Food & Beverage team during peak service periods (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
· Stepping in to assist any other department as needed
· Maintaining a clean, welcoming, and well-organized hotel environment
· Handling guest inquiries and resolving issues with a positive attitude
· Sharing your local knowledge to enhance the guest experience
· Supporting the Operations Manager with administrative tasks
· Acting as Manager on Duty and leading the team during your shift


You...

· Previous supervisory experience in Front Office within the hotel/leisure/retail sector
· Good knowledge of Health and Safety and security procedures
· Speak English confidently, Dutch is preferential
· Enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds
· Are available to work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends
· Have gained already first leadership experience in a supervisory operational role
· Can work independently and take initiative
· Are passionate about hospitality and love going the extra mile
· Has great organizational skills and is flexible and solution driven

Het in 2012 geopende Hilton Garden Inn Leiden is ideaal gesitueerd naast Corpus museum Leiden in "Nieuwe Rhijngeest", het bedrijvengebied naast snelweg de A44, welke slechts 10 minuten per taxi verwijderd is van Leiden Centraal station.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is per auto binnen 20 minuten te bereiken en Rotterdam - The Hague Airport ligt op slechts 30 minuten afstand met de auto.
Het Hilton Garden Inn Leiden heeft 173 moderne kamers hebben met een minimale oppervlakte van 24 vierkante meter, een restaurant welke 120 zitplaatsen kent met een stijlvolle hotel bar en tevens 5 prachtige vergaderzalen welke allen daglicht hebben. Verder wordt er gratis WiFi internettoegang aangeboden voor onze gasten en een Guest Business Centre.
Er zijn diverse training- en opleidingsmogelijkheden binnen Hilton beschikbaar. Zo worden er regelmatig professionele opleidings- en trainingprogramma's gegeven door onze gespecialiseerde collega's van de opleidingsafdeling. Daarnaast biedt Hilton University (het online trainingsprogramma) de mogelijkheid aan alle Team Members binnen Hilton zichzelf verder te ontwikkelen. (Internationale) transfers zijn mogelijk.
