Do you want to develop a successful career in Vegetable Seed Production?Our Seed Production team is managing the global production of our vegetable seeds, including both conventional and biological varieties. We are continually enhancing our methods to ensure the right amount and best quality vegetable seeds, efficiently produced and on-time delivered. Collaborating across various disciplines within dynamic teams, we share a collective passion for vegetable seeds. Our goal is always to provide the best products, meeting the demands of growers worldwide. As a Junior Production Specialist, you will help coordinating the worldwide seed production of our Allium varieties. In this position, you will integrate product specialist and planning activities, serving as the liaison between the Product Specialist and the Planner. We are a young, diverse team, looking forward to enhance our team with an enthusiastic new colleague. You will report to the Crop Production Manager. Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Coordinate global seed production for Allium varieties, ensuring efficient processes;
  • Provide agronomic support and maintain communication with producers and international colleagues to monitor seed production progress and quality;
  • Initiate and manage improvement processes for new production trials;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Research & Development, Seed Operations, and Marketing & Sales to optimize seed availability;
  • Establish and maintain optimal production conditions for new varieties, while documenting relevant production characteristics;
  • Collect and register production data in our ERP system for insights into seed availability, research, and analysis, working both remotely and on-site at production locations in the Netherlands and abroad.
 Your strengthYour affinity and experience with plants are of great value. Your love for plants, agronomic curiosity, and adeptness at "reading" them empowers you to detect crop issues and implement essential actions for growers. You maintain a good overview and you are skilled in planning and organizing. In international interactions with producers and regional colleagues, your adaptability shines as you tailor your approach to diverse cultures and local conditions. In short you bring:
  •  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Plant Sciences or (International) Agribusiness Studies; 
  • Some experience in agribusiness and/or (vegetable) seed cultivation; 
  • A passion for plants and an eye for plant-related pests and diseases; 
  • Excellent communication skills in the English and Dutch language; 
  • Analytical and solution-oriented; 
  • Willing to travel (within and outside Europe);
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
