Enza Zaden is a leading global seed company specializing in the development and production of high-quality vegetable varieties. We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our Global Regulatory Affairs team, to work specifically on Crop Protection and Bio development issues. Use of plant protection products and other forms of seed treatment, organic production and R&D legislation are among the key topics you will be working on in this team!As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will monitor and evaluate regulatory changes, identify necessary actions and initiate the implementation process within the company. You are therefore expected to have the necessary skills to carry out a legal analysis of legislation affecting the business. You will contribute to the development of tactical and strategic actions to ensure freedom to operate of Enza Zaden and its subsidiaries across the world and engage with third parties in matters of regulatory and policy nature. For example, you will prepare and deliver clear reports and summaries to keep internal and external stakeholders informed of key regulatory developments.  You will also prepare reactions to (inter-)national regulations, to be used in lobbying.In this position, your key internal stakeholders are your colleagues in the Seed Operations and R&D Departments, worldwide. You will be part of our Global Regulatory Affairs department, reporting directly to the Regulatory Affairs Manager for Crop Protection and Bio Development.Your power To be successful in this role, you have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, have developed the necessary skills to carry out a legal analysis autonomously and you won't mind working under pressure. You know to work independently and think along and involve others in decision making. Our team is growing, so we are evaluating junior and senior candidates for this role!In short, you are or have:
  • completed a Master's degree, preferably in Law & Regulatory Affairs
  • at least 3 years of relevant work experience in the field of regulatory affairs or dealing with procedures, protocols, laws and regulations, import and export (this is an advantage), or other work experience that fits well with this position;
  • fluent in English; Dutch or other languages in addition are an advantage;
  • good ability to interpret legal and scientific texts;
  • have strong organizational, communication and planning skills;
  • practical experience working with excel/spreadsheets;
  • have an eye for detail and are analytically strong.
