Quality Controller - Trains

Your challenge as a Quality Inspector / Quality Controller / Quality Controller
You are responsible for the very last step before we formally transfer our train to our customer (e.g. NS). After all tests have been done by the Commissioning Engineers, you will go on the train with the customer to see that the test runs are being carried out correctly and you will walk through the train with your customer for the final quality inspections. This includes acceptance runs, various tests (e.g. brake tests), checking protocols, visual inspections. You note deviations and take care of all associated administration. You are critical of your findings and also identify trends. You also dare to start a conversation with your customer.
In this position you will mainly work on the Watergraafsmeer site, where you go through the latest checks with the customer, or on the train during the test drives, which are mainly carried out from Watergraafsmeer.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with the delivered products and parts
- Carrying out inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures
- Maintain inspection files per component, assembly and vehicle
- Initiate Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) for non-conforming product and process products and actively participate in the follow-up and resolution
- Report quality activities to the quality manager and advise on corrective and preventive actions
- Act as a problem solver between multiple departments and customer representatives
- Review past inspection data for critical information, repeat errors, or problem areas
- Registering and reporting the inspection status of parts, assemblies and vehicles
The ideal Quality Inspector / Medewerker Kwaliteit / Quality Controller
You have a few years of experience related to quality inspections and as a person you are accurate and have great communication skills.
